I have a lot more experience to gain in life, but there are a few things I wish I could go back in time and smack myself over the head with. Unfortunately they haven't figured out time travel yet, but I can instill a few bits of advice into my daughter and I hope and pray she listens to me better than I listened to my own mother.
Make the most of your time. Instead of wasting time in front of the t.v. and complaining of boredom, put your time to good use. Focus on bettering yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. There will come a time when you wish there were more hours in the day, when you wish you had time to go to the gym, or time to get a decent night's sleep, or time to read so cherish all the time that you do have.
It's okay to be alone. I spent way too much of my time with boys who only brought heartache, wasted time and bad decisions. If I could do it over again I wouldn't even give those kind of guys the time of day, but back then I was so afraid to be alone. It wasn't until I spent time being single and working on bettering myself that I met the man who came to be my husband and your loving father.
Believe it or not, your mom only wants what is best for you. My own mother gave me some great advice through the years. Did I listen to it? Not even a little bit and because of that I suffered through a lot of pain and heartache that I could have avoided.
Love yourself. You are beautiful. The only person whose opinion about your looks matters is your own.
