Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

October 15th is designated as a special day of remembrance for babies lost due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirths, birth defects, SIDS or other causes.

One in four women suffer from the loss of pregnancy or the loss of an infant and too often they suffer alone in silence.  This special day, and the entire month of October, is meant to bring awareness to these families and their suffering.  The parents of these babies never forget and this one special day a year, every one else can remember them too.  Every life matters, no matter how short.

If you would like to partake in the remembrance of these lost little ones, light a candle at 7pm local time and let it burn for an hour as a part of the international wave of light.

If you know someone who has lost a little one, reach out to them on this day.  Offer your support and let them know that their little one is remembered.
